The Next Wave campaign, a ground-breaking initiative launching a new suite of products that helps advertisers use data to plan, forecast and buy digital media more effectively than ever before. 


By conceptualizing AI as a surfboard that you ride through a sea of digital data, with man and the machine coming together as the board hits the wave, the Next Wave campaign includes stunning images and content for web, desktop, mobile, social as well as digital video executions. 


The creative concept extended even to the naming of the product Koa, The Trade Desk’s powerful predictive AI engine. Koa is a Hawaiian wood that the first surfboards were made from.

RESULTS

The industry response to the Next Wave has been phenomenal. With three global live-streamed announcements, the launch videos generated 650,000 views across the company website, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube in the first few weeks after launch. Industry press and mainstream business media highlighted the Next Wave with more than 300 stories reaching over 50 million people around the world.


In supporting the largest product launch in the company's history, The Next Wave campaign changed industry narratives and brought depth and creativity to the complex and often dry world of programmatic advertising solutions.
